About Liz

I feel very fortunate to have lived and worked in various locations throughout my life. I was born in Peru, spent my childhood in South Florida, moved to Boston to begin my undergraduate studies and then to New York City to obtain my bachelor's degree from the School of Visual Arts. After graduating, I moved to the suburbs of New Jersey commuting into NYC for a while for work. I needed a change and moved to Tampa to enjoy the extra warm weather and palm trees. I absolutely love to travel and visit new places. I am more than halfway through visiting all the states and have also ventured to other parts of the world — with many more places still on the list.

Careerwise, I started off as a graphic designer specializing in advertising and promotion. The industry changed, I adapted and taught myself how to code and became a web designer and front-end developer. Motion injected itself into the digital world and I became a Flash designer — remember those days! As the industry has constantly evolved, I have kept up with it, and for over 13 years now I have focused my work within the UX industry. I have taken on leadership roles and now have over 8 years of management experience enabling my teams to be successful. Most recently, that evolution has led me into the world of AI-enabled product design — learning and applying frameworks that prioritize real data, real users, and human judgment at every step. It is a natural extension of everything I have built over the years, and honestly, one of the most exciting chapters yet. I feel like the breadth and depth of my experience — more than two decades worth — has given me the ability to wear several different hats well and think on many different levels in order to creatively problem solve. I do what I love and I love what I do!
